Cold Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy has been shown to help a range of conditions:

Acute and chronic pain

Arthritis in any joint

Broken bones

Carpal tunnel syndrome

Fibromyalgia

Inflammation

Injuries and wounds

Neuropathic pain syndrome

Oedema and swelling

Post-operative pain

Post shingles neuralgia

Repetitive strain disorders

Cold laser therapy has been scientifically proven to:

  • Reduce pain by increasing endorphin production
  • Reduce inflammation that creates swelling, redness and pain
  • Enhance lymphatic drainage to increase circulation
  • Stimulate the release of helpful healing enzymes
  • Release tight muscles
  • Speed bone repair
  • Re-Energise cell membranes

The term “cold laser therapy” is a misnomer, as no cooling sensation is actually felt by the patient. Technically known as Photo Bio Modulation Therapy, it is referred to as ‘cold laser therapy’ to distinguish it from surgical lasers which can create heat.

Non Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy

Non Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy treats neck & back pain from:

Bulging/Herniated Discs

Degenerative Disc Disease

Facet Joint Syndrome

Failed Back Surgery Syndrome

Spinal Stenosis

Stubborn Muscle Tension

How does Spinal Decompression work?

Negative pressure is created within the discs by providing a series of slow pulls, holds and releases. Over time, this vacuum effect may in many cases help the bulging disc material to be ‘drawn back into place’.

The fibres in the outer ring of the disc are also helped to heal by the increased nutrients which circulate in the area due to the gentle pumping movement created around the disc and facet joints.

(As pictured) In a lumbar spine decompression therapy session, the pelvis is angled differently depending on which exact disc level is being targeted. The computer has seven sensors that constantly measure the amount (and the exact timing) of each stage of decompression.

Apart from an initial pulling sensation, which you quickly get used to, it is very relaxing; in fact, many people fall asleep!
