AquaMassage

Bribie Pain Relief Centre is proud to announce the arrival of Brisbane’s first ever high tech AquaMassage.

With our AquaMassage you get to stay dry, fully clothed, enjoying muscle stimulation and relaxation from water jets gently pummelling your body.

With our AquaMassage you get to choose how firm or light, how fast or slow, and exactly where you want your muscles worked. You are in control of the entire massage, which you can design to be super relaxing or deeply invigorating. Your choice!

You can choose to have your whole body massaged or you can focus on a particular area that has been giving you trouble.  Relax with your choice of music from your own device or listen to our ambient relaxation music where we can provide headphones for you or you may use your own.

The AquaMassage is helpful for:

  • Whole body relaxation.
  • Specific tight spots, especially back and hips (it’s good for necks too). Alternatively, try our Spinal Decompression Therapy for even more relief. Combined with our cold laser therapy, it’s a very effective treatment.

Common Questions

Many people initially think they will find the AquaMassage claustrophobic, however are relieved to find that their head stays out of the AquaMassage completely. This, combined with an easily reached stop button that will open the machine within seconds, gives peace of mind to most people who suffer from Claustrophobia.

Whilst your head stays out of the AquaMassage, if you would like your neck massaged more you can simply wiggle down a little into the machine, or if you find yourself feeling a little uncomfortable, you can easily just wiggle up a little to move your head and neck further out of the machine.

There is also a fan that blows fresh air onto your face… you can choose to have this off, on low, or on high, so that you are comfortable at all times.

AquaMassage is a high tech massage therapy, that for most people, provides sufficient relief from just 15 minutes. Therefore, our prices reflect our high cost investment (initial and ongoing) with affordability being our main focus.

Sessions and Costs:

  • 5 minutes for $20
  • 10 minutes for $30
  • 15 minutes for $40
  • 20 minutes for $50
  • 30 minutes for $70

Sessions are tailored to your requirements and costs vary according to time spent in the AquaMassage. Packages are also available. Just ask.

On it’s own, no it is not, however, as part of a treatment program combining Chiropractic and perhaps other techniques, it may be. Each case is different and depends on an assessment by our Centre Director, Kellie Dawson. To find out if you can claim on your health fund, you will need to book a New Patient assessment with Kellie Dawson. A comprehensive case management plan will need to be designed for a particular problem.

Every body is different, however, as it is quite an intense massage, most people find 30 minutes is ideal. Some find they prefer 10 minutes just on a particular area, others 15 or 20 minutes for a more thorough treatment. Then some patients find that 30 minutes is just what they need for a full body massage plus some detailed back work.

As you can also lie on your back the AquaMassage is able to stimulate circulation at the front of your body as well as the back. For this most people choose a 30 minute session with the time equally divided between front and back to help increase lymphatic flow which is thought to help detoxification which may help weight loss . This of course would not replace the need for dietary and exercise management for a sound weight loss strategy.

If you choose a relaxation approach to your AquaMassage you may well find yourself drifting off to sleep with the gentle, rhythmic massage to relaxation music. No one to talk to, just you and your thoughts, which should quickly settle as you relax into your own chill out zone.

It is important to drink plenty of water after your massage. In addition, we suggest that you do not drive a vehicle for 5 minutes afterwards, as you may find that you need this time to find your orientation after your session.

Most people are deeply relaxed and a little ‘spacey’ afterwards, so try to allow yourself some time to continue to unwind and slowly come gently back to the world.

Yes, you can just come for an AquaMassage. If however you have a problem that is not resolving, then we suggest that you have a consultation with our Centre Director Kellie Dawson, so that your problem can be managed to get the best results for you.

The AquaMassage may be all that you need, and you are welcome to use it as you need.

Bookings for the AquaMassage are available by texting or calling Kellie Dawson on 0456 763 634
